I am officially living in London. I am typing this from someone's basement in Waterloo. I feel like a hopeless drifter.
Alysia and Laura are finally all moved in, well sort of. I left them nearly three-sheets to the wind and burried under boxes filled with more of their lives than I'd ever imagined I'd see. Belinda Gail, Chris Mercer valentines and fitness certification. Laura you never cease to amaze. Alysia, your tools are so impressive I think I'm actually frightened of your awesomeness... and screwdrivers.
Four lives mixed together (London, work, Waterloo/Regan, and Utopia) in one weekend is gonna mess with my head. I can feel it. I like things organized, neat, simple. Complex and interesting events are too spontaneous for my liking. I was up until 5 am unpacking my room damnit! It just NEEDED to be unpacked, with everything in its place.
I read other blogs now, when I have time. My friends are all gone. That hasn't really sunk in yet I guess, it really hasn't. They are across the big pond, or in the Big City. I'm going to miss you guys once it hits me that you've left for good. Bastards! *sniff
I had my orientation today at the Faculty of Ed at Western. Western is a REAL school and I love it. Laurier is behind me, Laurier and that hideous 3rd floor waste-of-money renovation are behind me. As Borrelli would say: "I'm outta that shithole". Really it sorta is. I got my Student ID card today AND a bus pass, AND had an orientation AND a tour, AND had time to eat lunch all in three hours. PLUS that included walking time! These people don't make you wait for anything. No wonder other students have no idea what we're talking about when we say "we line up" for everything. EVERYTHING.
To those still at Laurier, good luck. Enjoy the closeness of everything, that's the only perk. Come visit in London if you like. You can even bring "carloads of boyfriends". I think there is a housewarming in the works, with booze from our fancy new IKEA drink cart, and of course we have lots of boxes to burn!
Bring your friends and bring you lovers and forget the town of Waterloo for a few hours of pleasure. I know I have!
Did I mention they had free parking?

Just so's I know, what are the mass transit options to London from The Big Smoke? I think:
1) VIA (expensive, but direct)
2) Greyhound (bet you have to go thru Hamilton or some shit)
3) ? Airplanes are for Hiltons.
I could use some hearty party, for there are 48,000 or students here and no one I know.
will there be a boy for me in the carload of boyfriends? I've decided that I need a boy who wants to buy me stuff.
