There is a man coming during March Break to tell me the house leaks like a sieve (leaks air that is). Thankfully we haven't had any drainage problems (*knock on wood). Apparently they seal the house up and then light some insence and maybe dance around, and then watch where the smoke leaks. I'm sure it's a tad more technical than that, but that's the image I'm going with right now because it sounds fun.
After we get the audit (which costs $300.00, half of which is reimbursed by the government) we'll be able to know what to upgrade to maximize our N-R-G efficiency. Then we qualify for grants from the government to pay for said upgrades. This is clearly what I like to hear in these tough economic times (sorry Amy).
Since I have decided to bloggity blog again I will keep all those interested posted with the results.
Because really, hydro bills suck. I want to heat my house with lightening. sweet.
Also, that picture of our house is from when we first moved in. It's a bit different now, but there's much more landscaping to be done. Any suggestions from the lovely gardeners/landscapers/driveway pavers out there?
