Arcade Fire is a band to be seen, witnessed, experienced. Go Go GO!
I savoured their arcade-y goodness last night with a grand group of the most "deck" hipsters I've ever seen. There were dark-rimmed square glasses, and anorexic or 'thin' fifteen-year-olds in value village suits and skinny ties as far as the eye could see. Borrelli resisted the "scene" with a new look I've dubbed "bourgeois lumberjack," and when I saw him I laughed harder than I have in a long time. Thank you Borrelli, thank you for only cutting down the gold trees, and some diamond ones.
Tomorrow after work I head to Barrie to have my face sliced open and my wisdom teeth yanked out. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm sure as hell looking forward to it! Perhaps it's all too perfect that Arcade Fire's beautiful "all-sentimental all the time" album is called Funeral.
ooo-oooh-oh-ooooooooo
